About this course

Finance, accounting and management is a degree that spans three interconnected domains of commercial and organisational life, giving you the conceptual breadth to understand how businesses and institutions plan, finance, report, and govern their activities. Finance is concerned with how capital is raised, allocated, and valued; accounting provides the measurement and reporting frameworks through which financial performance is recorded and communicated; management addresses how people, processes, and resources are organised to achieve strategic objectives. Together they form a comprehensive business education with a particularly strong quantitative and financial orientation. At Nottingham you will study this three-year full-time programme at one of the UK's leading business schools, with a sandwich year, a year abroad, and a work placement giving you a rich combination of professional and international experience. Across the degree you will cover financial reporting, management accounting, corporate finance, investment analysis, auditing, strategic management, and the organisational and leadership dimensions of management. The year abroad and sandwich year develop your international perspective and your professional maturity in ways that significantly strengthen your position in the graduate labour market. Graduates of finance, accounting, and management from Nottingham enter careers across financial services, professional accountancy, corporate finance, management consultancy, and general commercial management. Many pursue professional accountancy qualifications, often with exemptions from the undergraduate degree, while others move into investment banking, asset management, financial analysis, or treasury. The management component also opens doors in operations, strategy, and general management roles. Many graduates also continue to postgraduate study, and Nottingham's business school provides strong postgraduate pathways in finance, accounting, and management.
