Physics is the study of matter, energy and the fundamental forces that govern the universe, from the tiniest subatomic particles to vast galaxies. Climate science is the study of how the laws of physics govern the behaviour of the sea and atmosphere and their interactions with the land, together with the natural and human-induced processes that drive environmental changes, and their cumulative effect on our planet.
