About this course

Business and entrepreneurship is a degree that takes the commercial foundations of business education and applies them to the particular challenge and opportunity of creating and growing new ventures. Entrepreneurship is concerned with identifying opportunities, taking calculated risks, mobilising resources, and building organisations where none existed before, and it is a capability that is increasingly relevant not just to those starting their own businesses but to those bringing innovative thinking to established organisations. A degree in this combination develops both the analytical tools of business and the creative, experimental mindset of the entrepreneur.

At Regent's University London, this programme is designed to help you become an effective entrepreneur and innovative leader, with the insight to identify opportunities, implement new processes, harness new technology, and drive growth in a global business environment. A year abroad is available, giving you an international perspective on entrepreneurship and business that is increasingly relevant in a world where ventures operate across borders from their earliest stages. You will study the core business functions alongside entrepreneurship theory, innovation management, venture creation, design thinking, and the practical aspects of launching and scaling a business.

The programme develops your ability to manage uncertainty, to adapt to changing circumstances, and to build and lead teams around new ideas.

Graduates go on to found their own businesses, to join early-stage startups in commercial or leadership roles, and to bring entrepreneurial thinking to established organisations in sectors ranging from technology and finance to healthcare, creative industries, and social enterprise. Many also pursue further professional development or postgraduate study in entrepreneurship, innovation management, or business administration, and some go on to invest in and mentor the next generation of entrepreneurs. The combination of business rigour and entrepreneurial mindset the degree develops is valued across virtually every sector of the modern economy.
