The full programme also includes a sandwich year, a year abroad, and a work placement, meaning you have multiple opportunities to gain professional and international experience alongside your legal study. You will examine the legal principles that underpin business activities, covering company law, contract, commercial transactions, financial regulation, consumer protection, and competition law, alongside the broader legal and ethical frameworks within which commercial activity takes place.

Commercial law graduates are sought after by law firms, particularly those specialising in corporate and commercial practice, as well as by the legal departments of financial institutions, banks, multinational corporations, and regulatory bodies. The degree is a strong foundation for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination route, and many graduates pursue careers as solicitors in corporate and commercial specialisms.
