About this course
Electrical and electronic engineering shapes the world around us in ways that are easy to overlook and impossible to live without. The discipline spans the generation and distribution of electrical power, the design of the circuits and systems that process signals and data, and the integration of electronics into devices ranging from household appliances and medical equipment to aerospace systems and transport infrastructure. It combines the physics of electricity and electromagnetism with the engineering of analogue and digital systems, and its practitioners work at every scale from a single microchip to a national grid. At Loughborough University you will study the core foundations of the discipline, including circuit theory, electromagnetics, power engineering, signal processing and digital systems, alongside an understanding of their application across domestic, industrial and high-
