Media and communication is the study of how information, meaning, and culture circulate in society through technologies, institutions, and practices that are constantly changing. It asks how the ways we produce and consume media shape our understanding of the world, how power is exercised through representation and narrative, and what the implications are for democracy, identity, and public life when media is in our pockets and the platforms that distribute information are global and commercially driven.
