About this course

Accounting and finance are the twin disciplines at the heart of how organisations measure, manage and communicate their financial performance. Accounting provides the language and systems through which financial information is recorded, summarised and reported, while finance addresses the theory and practice of how capital is raised, invested and managed. Together they equip graduates for careers at the financial core of businesses, public sector organisations and financial markets, in roles that require both technical precision and strategic judgment. At Newcastle, this three-year programme includes a sandwich year, a year abroad and work placement opportunities, making it one of the more professionally and internationally oriented accounting and finance degrees in the north of England.
