Computer games programming is the technical discipline that brings interactive digital worlds to life. While game design imagines what a game could be, and art gives it visual form, programming is what makes it run: managing input and output, simulating physics and AI, rendering graphics in real time, and synchronising all the systems that make a game a coherent, responsive experience. Games programmers work at the boundary of computer science and creative production, applying sophisticated technical knowledge in service of entertainment and increasingly in other interactive applications.
