About this course

Criminology with digital forensics is a combination that reflects the increasingly technical dimensions of contemporary crime. Criminology examines why crime occurs, how it is distributed across society, how criminal justice systems respond to it, and what consequences those responses have. Digital forensics addresses the techniques through which electronic evidence is located, preserved, analysed, and presented in legal proceedings. As crime has migrated increasingly into digital environments, from cybercrime and online fraud to the digital dimensions of physical offending, the two fields have become more relevant to each other.
