About this course

Geography and business and management might seem to belong to different intellectual traditions, but the combination is genuinely coherent. Geography is concerned with the surface of the Earth as the site of human living and working, examining both physical landscapes and human geographies including migration, urbanisation, globalisation, and environmental change. Business and management asks how organisations create and sustain value within those landscapes and systems, including the supply chains that cross continents, the regulatory environments shaped by geography and politics, and the markets that are deeply influenced by spatial patterns of production and consumption. Together, the two disciplines produce graduates who understand the world spatially and can also navigate the organisational realities of operating within it.
