About this course

Law, as a discipline, provides the formal rules and principles through which societies regulate behaviour, protect rights and resolve disputes. An LLB is the undergraduate qualification through which most people in the UK prepare for legal practice, covering the foundations of the English legal system and the substantive areas of law that solicitors and barristers need to understand. A senior status degree is designed for a specific group: graduates who already hold a degree in another discipline and want to convert to law without completing a full three-year programme. At Swansea University, this two-year full-time accelerated programme is designed for graduates from outside the UK who hold a degree in a different subject and wish to enter the legal profession.
