About this course
Aerospace engineering is one of the most demanding and most rewarding branches of engineering, concerned with the design, development, and operation of aircraft, spacecraft, and related systems. It applies principles from aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, avionics, and materials science to create vehicles that must perform reliably in extreme conditions, often with very little margin for error. The field is also at the frontier of responses to some of the most urgent engineering challenges of our time, including minimising aircraft noise and emissions, developing alternative propulsion systems, and designing unmanned aerial vehicles for applications from surveillance to delivery. At Queen's University Belfast this three-year full-time programme gives you a thorough grounding in the scientific and engineering principles that underpin aerospace engineering, alongside their application
