Editing and post-production is the craft and discipline that shapes raw footage into finished film, television, advertising, and digital content. Contrary to the assumption that editing is simply cutting material together, it is in fact one of the most creatively decisive stages of any production: the editor controls pacing, emphasis, emotional tone, and the logic of narrative, often transforming what was shot on set into something quite different. Post-production extends this to encompass sound design, colour grading, visual effects, and the technical pipeline that takes content from camera to screen.
