Geography with a Language addresses the global dimensions of the discipline directly, equipping you to understand the world's environmental, social and political challenges with both analytical and linguistic tools. Geography is an unusually broad subject, spanning the physical processes that shape landscapes, the social forces that determine where and how people live, the politics of territory and resources, and the environmental consequences of human activity. Adding a language to that breadth gives you the capacity to engage with different countries, cultures and academic traditions in their own terms.
