Interior architecture and design is the discipline concerned with the spatial experience of buildings, the relationship between structure, light, material, function, and human movement within the built interior. It sits between architecture and interior design, engaging with the technical and structural realities of buildings while also attending to the aesthetic, atmospheric, and experiential qualities that determine how interior spaces feel to inhabit. Good interior architecture transforms how people work, live, learn, and heal.
