Audio technology is the applied science and engineering of sound, concerned with the design, development, and implementation of systems for recording, processing, reproducing, and transmitting audio. It sits at the boundary of physics, electronics, signal processing, and creative practice, requiring both the technical knowledge to design and implement audio systems and the aesthetic sensibility to understand what good sound means in different contexts.
