Media production is the practical and conceptual discipline concerned with creating digital content, understanding the industries within which that content is made and distributed, and developing the professional skills needed to sustain a career in a creative sector characterised by both opportunity and precariousness. It encompasses video production, audio content, documentary, journalism, digital storytelling and the business and organisational dimensions of working in media, from understanding how audiences consume content to how media companies operate and how to manage creative projects and teams.
