Business Management and International Relations is a combination that reflects the reality of how most large organisations now operate: within a complex web of political relationships, regulatory environments and cultural dynamics that extend far beyond any single country's borders. Business management gives you the tools to understand how organisations are led, structured and made to perform, while international relations provides the frameworks for understanding how states, international institutions and global forces interact. Together they prepare you to think about commercial decisions within their broader geopolitical and social context. At Liverpool Hope University this three-year full-time degree examines organisations of all kinds, from small enterprises to global multinationals, and across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. You will study business principles, organisational dynamics and management processes alongside the theories and history that explain how the international system works. The programme includes a sandwich year, a year abroad and a work placement, giving you the opportunity to gain real professional and international experience as part of your degree. These elements are designed to deepen your practical understanding and strengthen your CV as you prepare to enter a competitive graduate job market. Graduates from this combination go on to careers across a wide range of sectors. Many find roles in international business development, trade policy, corporate affairs, public sector management, international development organisations and the diplomatic service.
