BA Business Management with Entrepreneurship
About this course
Business Management with Entrepreneurship is a degree that combines the broad intellectual foundations of business management with a specific focus on the creation, development and growth of new ventures. While business management develops your understanding of how established organisations are led and managed across functions such as finance, marketing, operations and human resources, entrepreneurship adds the mindset, skills and practical knowledge needed to identify opportunities, build business cases, launch new ventures and drive innovation within organisations of all kinds. The combination is well suited to anyone who wants not just to manage existing systems but to create new ones. At Keele University this three-year full-time BA develops your ability to spot opportunities, develop creative business solutions and manage new ventures, alongside a grounding in core business management principles. You will work on hands-on projects and have opportunities to network with successful entrepreneurs, gaining real-world experience and exposure to the entrepreneurial ecosystem alongside your academic studies. The programme includes a sandwich year, a year abroad and a work placement, giving you substantial professional and international experience that directly complements your entrepreneurial and management education. Graduates from Business Management with Entrepreneurship degrees go on to careers both as founders of their own businesses and as intrapreneurs within established organisations. Many find roles in business development, product management, venture capital, start-up ecosystems and technology companies, while others bring their entrepreneurial thinking to roles in consulting, marketing, operations and leadership within larger firms. The creative problem-solving, commercial awareness and initiative the degree develops are valued across virtually every sector where innovation matters. Postgraduate study in business administration, entrepreneurship, innovation management or related fields is an option for those wishing to continue their studies.
