BA Business Management with Marketing
About this course
Business management with marketing combines two of the most practically powerful areas of business education, developing both the broad management knowledge needed to understand how organisations work and the specialist marketing understanding needed to build and communicate the value that organisations create. Marketing sits at the boundary between an organisation and its customers, and the ability to understand consumer behaviour, develop effective campaigns, manage brands, and deploy digital tools to reach and engage audiences has become increasingly central to commercial success across every sector. Business management provides the strategic, financial, operational, and human context within which marketing decisions are made and implemented. At Leeds Beckett University, this three-year full-time degree develops both disciplines in an integrated way, drawing on ethical and sustainable approaches to marketing alongside digital innovation and global business practice. You will study the core functions of business management, including strategy, operations, finance, and leadership, while developing specialist marketing knowledge covering consumer behaviour, digital marketing, brand management, campaign planning, market research, and the emerging dimensions of sustainable and ethical marketing. A sandwich year with work placement and the option of a year abroad give you direct professional experience in marketing or business contexts, while work placement is embedded as a core feature of the programme, ensuring you graduate with applied competence as well as academic knowledge. Graduates are exceptionally well placed for careers across marketing, brand management, business development, and management in organisations of every size and sector. Common roles include marketing manager, brand manager, digital marketing specialist, market researcher, account manager, and business development manager. The combination of marketing expertise and general management competence makes graduates attractive to employers who want people who can both implement marketing strategies and understand the broader business context in which they operate. Many graduates continue to postgraduate study in marketing, brand strategy, or business administration, building specialist depth for senior roles.
