A sandwich year provides the opportunity to spend a full year in an industry placement, and a year abroad allows you to study at an international partner institution. Work placements are integrated throughout, connecting your academic learning to the kinds of roles that await chemistry graduates in professional environments. The programme is being put forward for accreditation by the Royal Society of Chemistry. Graduates of chemistry with mathematics programmes are well positioned for careers in the pharmaceutical, agrochemical, materials, and chemical industries, as well as in computational chemistry, environmental consultancy, data science, and research.
