Film and television studies combined with history of art is a degree that examines how images work and what they mean, across two of the most significant visual media of the modern era and across the longer history of art-making from which cinema and television emerged. Film and television studies develops your ability to analyse moving images critically, to understand the histories and theories of these media, and to situate screen culture within its social, political, and industrial contexts.
