International business with French brings together two capabilities that are directly relevant to careers in the global economy: the strategic and analytical knowledge needed to operate effectively in international business environments, and fluency in French, one of the world's most significant languages for commerce, diplomacy and culture. French is spoken by over 300 million people across five continents, is one of the official languages of the EU, the UN and many major international organisations, and is the language of business across large parts of Africa, making it one of the most professionally valuable languages in the world. At Edinburgh, this four-year programme develops your French to an advanced level while building rigorous understanding of international business. You will study global strategy, cross-cultural management, international trade, finance, marketing and entrepreneurship, alongside the French language, literature and cultural history of the French-speaking world. Edinburgh's business school has strong international connections, and the combination of high-level language skills and commercial education positions graduates well for careers that span linguistic and national boundaries.
