Management science applies the methods of mathematics, statistics and operational research to the analysis and improvement of complex organisational systems and decision processes. Where general management draws on case studies and frameworks, management science reaches for quantitative models, optimisation techniques and rigorous data analysis to understand how organisations function and how they can be made to work better.
