About this course
Natural sciences is a degree that allows you to pursue an integrated scientific education across two or more of the core natural science disciplines, rather than specialising exclusively in one from the outset. The natural world does not divide itself neatly into the subjects found in school timetables, and the most interesting scientific questions, whether in climate science, neuroscience, materials physics, or evolutionary biology, typically require knowledge and methods drawn from across the disciplines. A natural sciences degree develops scientists who can think across these boundaries, combining rigour in each discipline with the synthetic thinking needed to address genuinely complex problems.
