Sociology and data analytics is a combination that reflects one of the most important developments in the social sciences: the growing availability of large datasets about social life and the development of the computational tools to analyse them. Sociology provides the theoretical frameworks and critical sensibility to ask meaningful questions about how societies work, why inequalities persist, how institutions operate, and what forces produce social change.
