Bioveterinary science examines the biology of animals from a scientific perspective that is closely connected to but distinct from veterinary medicine itself. Where the veterinary degree trains clinicians to diagnose and treat individual patients, bioveterinary science investigates the biological processes underlying animal health, disease, and physiology with a view to advancing knowledge and developing new tools, treatments, and diagnostic approaches.
