About this course

Broadcast journalism is the craft of finding, verifying and communicating stories through audio and visual media, working to inform and engage audiences in real time under the pressure of constant deadlines. Television and radio journalism have been transformed by digital technology, with online platforms, podcasting, video streaming and social media expanding the range of formats and audiences that broadcast journalists must navigate. The fundamental skills, however, remain constant: the ability to identify a story, gather and verify information, interview effectively and communicate clearly and compellingly to an audience.
