Education, inclusion, and special educational needs is a degree that examines how educational systems can and should respond to the full diversity of learners, with a particular focus on those whose needs are not always well served by mainstream provision. Special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) is both a legal framework and a field of professional practice, asking how schools, colleges, and other educational settings can provide appropriate support for learners with a wide range of conditions including autism, dyslexia, ADHD, physical disabilities, and language and communication difficulties.
