About this course

Electrical and electronic engineering is the discipline that underlies the connected, electrified world we live in. Electrical engineers design and operate the power systems that generate, transmit, and distribute electrical energy. Electronic engineers work at a smaller scale, designing the circuits, sensors, processors, and communication systems that enable computers, smartphones, medical instruments, and countless other devices to function. The two specialisms share a foundation in electromagnetic theory, circuit analysis, and the mathematics of signals and systems, and in practice they are deeply intertwined. At Imperial College, one of the world's leading universities in science, engineering, and technology, you will study this three-year full-time degree in an environment of exceptional research strength. The programme addresses the major challenges facing engineers today: connect
