Studying two modern languages alongside English literature and language is one of the most intellectually ambitious routes a humanities student can take. It places you simultaneously within three distinct linguistic and cultural traditions, developing not just communicative ability but a highly refined sensitivity to how language shapes meaning, how literary traditions reflect and construct cultural identity, and how the same ideas look different when approached through different linguistic lenses.
