Physics is the science of matter, energy and the fundamental laws that govern the universe at every scale, from the behaviour of quarks inside a proton to the motion of galaxies across the cosmos. It is a discipline built on the conviction that the universe is intelligible and that its behaviour can be described precisely using the language of mathematics. Studying physics means developing not just a knowledge of physical laws but the quantitative reasoning and problem-solving skills needed to apply them, skills that are among the most transferable in the graduate labour market.
