Sports injury rehabilitation focuses on the assessment, treatment and recovery management of injuries sustained in sport and physical activity, combining knowledge from anatomy, physiology, biomechanics and clinical practice to support athletes and active individuals back to full function. It is a discipline that sits between sports science and allied health, requiring both an understanding of how the body moves and the clinical skills to intervene effectively when injury disrupts that movement. At Wrexham University, this three-year full-time degree includes a foundation year, making the total studied period four years and providing the additional scientific and clinical groundwork needed if you are building towards the profession from a non-traditional starting point.
