Zoology With Marine Zoology
BSc · Bangor University · 3 years
About this course
Zoology with marine zoology focuses on the animal kingdom in all its diversity, with a specific extension into the marine environment that covers one of the richest and most scientifically important ecosystems on the planet. Zoology as a discipline examines the biology, behaviour, ecology and evolution of animals, developing a rigorous scientific understanding of how animal life operates from the cellular level through to population and ecosystem dynamics. The marine specialism adds depth in the biology of ocean organisms, marine food webs, aquatic ecology and the pressing environmental challenges facing marine systems globally. At Bangor University, this three-year full-time programme includes a foundation year, a sandwich year, a year abroad and a work placement, making it one of the more experientially rich zoology programmes available.
