About this course

Electro-mechanical engineering addresses the integration of electrical and mechanical systems that characterises so much of modern engineering practice. Very few significant engineering products are purely mechanical or purely electrical: electric motors depend on mechanical design, control systems regulate physical processes, robots integrate software, electronics, and mechanisms, and the entire domain of mechatronics, including automotive engineering, robotics, aerospace, and manufacturing automation, depends on engineers who can think across both disciplines. This programme prepares you to be one of those engineers. At Coventry University, this four-year full-time programme includes a foundation year that provides the mathematical and scientific foundations needed before entering the main engineering curriculum. This makes the programme accessible to students who have the motivation
