Architectural technology is the discipline that bridges the creative vision of architecture and the technical realities of construction, providing the specialist knowledge needed to turn design concepts into buildable, safe, and sustainable structures. Architectural technologists work alongside architects, structural engineers, and contractors, taking responsibility for the technical dimensions of a building project, from the selection and specification of materials through to building regulations compliance, environmental performance, and the coordination of the information that drives construction. It is a profession with a clearly defined pathway and strong employment prospects. At London South Bank University, this three-year full-time programme includes a foundation year and a sandwich placement year, giving you both a supported introduction to the discipline and an extended period
