About this course
Business economics applies the analytical tools of economics to the challenges faced by organisations, markets, and policymakers, asking how firms make decisions, how markets function, and how economic forces shape the business environment. It is a discipline that sits between pure economic theory and management practice, giving you the rigour of economic analysis alongside a practical understanding of how organisations work in the real world. This three-year full-time programme at Leeds Beckett University gives you a solid grounding in microeconomics, macroeconomics, statistical analysis, and business strategy, developing your ability to use economic reasoning to understand and solve real business problems. The sandwich year placement in your third year is a significant opportunity to gain professional experience before you graduate, with previous students having undertaken placements
