Computer networking is the discipline concerned with the design, implementation, management and security of the systems that allow computers and devices to communicate with each other. From the local area networks inside a single building to the global infrastructure of the internet, networking underpins virtually all digital communication and data exchange. As organisations become ever more dependent on connected systems, and as threats to those systems grow more sophisticated, the demand for networking professionals with strong technical knowledge and a security-conscious approach has never been greater.
