Creative writing and global philosophy are two disciplines that both ask fundamental questions about human experience, one through the making of literary art and the other through rigorous inquiry into truth, value and meaning across the world's great intellectual traditions. Creative writing develops your ability to imagine, shape and articulate experience through fiction, poetry, non-fiction and other forms. Global philosophy and worldviews takes that spirit of inquiry into a world-spanning philosophical space, moving between African, Chinese, Indian, Islamic, Jewish, Buddhist and other traditions to explore what different cultures have said about ethics, the soul, knowledge, politics and the nature of reality.
