About this course
Earth Sciences is the integrated scientific study of our planet, encompassing the geological, geochemical, geophysical, and atmospheric processes that have shaped the Earth over billions of years and that continue to drive change today. It is a discipline that connects the deep past, from the earliest formation of the crust to the evolution of life, with pressing contemporary challenges including climate change, natural hazard assessment, and the responsible extraction of natural resources. Earth scientists need the full range of natural science tools, from field mapping and laboratory analysis to computational modelling, and the intellectual flexibility to integrate evidence across very different time and spatial scales. At University College London, this four-year full-time programme is structured as an international programme, with a distinctive feature at its core: you will spend yo
