About this course

Ecology and conservation addresses the relationships between living organisms and their environments, and the urgent challenge of protecting biodiversity in the face of habitat loss, climate change, invasive species, and other human-driven pressures. Ecology is the scientific foundation of conservation, providing the understanding of population dynamics, food webs, ecosystem function, and species interactions that conservation managers need to make sound decisions. Together, these disciplines equip students to contribute practically to protecting the natural world. This three-year full-time programme at Anglia Ruskin University provides a grounded scientific education in both ecology and conservation biology. You will study population and community ecology, wildlife management, conservation genetics, habitat assessment, environmental legislation, and the research and survey methods used
