Filmmaking is the art and craft of telling stories through moving images, combining creative vision with technical skill across every stage of the production process, from development and scriptwriting through shooting and performance direction to editing, sound design, and post-production. It is a discipline that requires you to think visually and narratively at the same time, understanding both what an image means and how to capture it, and developing the collaborative and organisational skills that production in any medium demands. Film is one of the most powerful means of communication and artistic expression available, and learning to make it well is a rigorous and rewarding creative education.
