Financial technology, or fintech, is one of the most rapidly evolving fields at the intersection of finance, technology, and regulation. It encompasses digital banking, payment systems, blockchain and distributed ledger technology, algorithmic trading, robo-advice, insurtech, and the regulatory technology that helps financial institutions comply with increasingly complex rules.
