About this course
Geography with environmental mathematics is a programme that takes seriously the quantitative revolution that has transformed how geographers and environmental scientists understand and model the natural world. Geography provides the conceptual frameworks for understanding how the Earth's surface, atmosphere, and biosphere work and how human activity is reshaping them. Environmental mathematics adds the formal and computational tools needed to describe those processes precisely, develop simulation models, and extract meaningful patterns from complex datasets. At the University of Leeds, this three-year full-time degree lets you explore the processes that shape dramatic landscapes and the dynamics of the atmosphere and biosphere, examining how those processes can be described mathematically and represented in models. You will develop an appreciation of both the physical and mathematical
