About this course

Hispanic studies and economics is a combination that develops two forms of understanding that are increasingly interconnected in the modern world. Spanish, the language at the heart of Hispanic studies, is spoken by more than 500 million people across two continents and is central to some of the world's fastest-growing economies in Latin America. Economics provides the formal analytical tools for understanding how those economies work, how markets are structured, and what drives growth, inequality, and trade. Together they produce a graduate who is both linguistically equipped and analytically rigorous. At Warwick, this four-year programme develops your Spanish language and cultural knowledge to an advanced level alongside rigorous training in economic theory and quantitative methods.
