International Business Management
MA · Heriot-Watt University · 4 years
About this course
International business management is the study of how organisations operate across national borders, and what that crossing of borders adds in complexity, opportunity and challenge. It is a discipline that builds on the core foundations of business, including strategy, finance, marketing, operations and organisational behaviour, and then applies those foundations to the particular demands of global markets: different regulatory environments, cultural norms, economic conditions, political risks and consumer behaviours. The field is genuinely interdisciplinary, drawing on economics, sociology, political science and cultural studies as well as the functional areas of management. This four-year full-time MA (Hons) at Heriot-Watt University includes a sandwich year with a work placement and a year abroad, giving you deep professional and international experience built into the programme stru
