About this course

Music industry management addresses the business, creative, and strategic dimensions of one of the UK's most successful cultural sectors. The music industry is not simply about music; it is a complex ecosystem of record labels, live promoters, booking agents, publishers, managers, streaming platforms, and sync licensing companies, all operating in a fast-changing technological and commercial environment. Managing within it requires both a deep understanding of how music is made, distributed, and monetised and the commercial and entrepreneurial skills to turn creative talent into sustainable careers. At LIPA this three-year full-time programme is built on the institute's strong connections to the music industry and its ethos of equipping graduates with practical skills as well as theoretical knowledge.
