Adult nursing is a profession built on the capacity to provide skilled, compassionate care to people when they are at their most vulnerable. Nurses are the largest workforce in the NHS and the clinical professionals who spend most direct time with patients, assessing their needs, administering treatments, monitoring their progress, and coordinating care with the multidisciplinary teams around them.
