About this course
Professional policing is about far more than law enforcement. Effective policing in a complex, diverse society requires knowledge of criminal justice, psychology, sociology, ethics, safeguarding, and community engagement, combined with the practical decision-making skills to apply that knowledge under pressure and in circumstances that are rarely straightforward. A degree in professional policing gives you both the intellectual foundations and the vocational preparation needed to enter the police service as a degree-qualified professional.
