Scottish Ethnology and English Language is a distinctive combination that brings together the study of Scotland's rich cultural traditions with the scientific analysis of language in its historical and contemporary forms. Scottish ethnology is concerned with the material culture, oral traditions, folklore, beliefs, and everyday practices of the Scottish people across time, drawing on both fieldwork and archival research to understand the lived experience of past and present Scottish communities.
